Registration with the

Gauteng Waste Information System

The Gauteng Waste Information Regulations require that the following waste role players register with the Gauteng Department of Agriculture, Conservation, Environment and Land Affairs (GDACEL).

  Generators of:

    - Health Care Risk Waste (HCRW)

  Transporters of:

    -  Health Care Risk Waste

    -  Hazardous Waste

  Landfill operators for:

    -  Hazardous landfills (H:H, H:h)

    -  General landfills (GMB-, GMB+, GLB-, GLB+)

  Treatment Facilities of:

    -  Health Care Risk Waste

** (if you are not one of the above, you need not register)

Please check in the spreadsheet lists provided below whether you are already registered with GDACEL.

The following role players are already registered on the GDACEL Waste Information System:

       HCRW Generators

       Transporters

       Landfills (none registered)

       Treatment Facilities

These role players may register on-line or complete the required registration form (provided below) and forward to GDACEL by email, fax or mail.
